At first glance, this game reminds me of Wave Race 64, but with a few more tricks. On closer inspection, I'm right. To begin with, there are tons of tricks to learn, and to learn when and where to use them, not all can be used on every wave. That's about the extent of the difference. Of course, there's more than tricks. In order to stop the game from becoming too repetitive, Krome Studios has added a championship mode. This screams Wave Race. You're pitted against seven AI surfers to gain the highest score. Or in arcade mode, dodge objects to earn the next level. All the elements of Wave Race 64 are here, just in a different place and environment.
